Weeksville Heritage Center   The Weeksville Heritage Center is a continuation of the rediscovery of the African-American heritage site in Brooklyn. This award-winning project captures the rich history of one of the most prosperous black communities in the 19th century by incorporating African patterns and colors into its design, respecting the integrity of the historical homes on the site.

The incorporation of ecologically responsible materials and a geothermal system extends the community’s rich history into a sustainable, vibrant future.
