| Jennie Knauff Children's Center | This project is The Association for the Help of Retarded Children’s first venture into providing preschool facilities for medically fragile children. Despite a limited budget, spatial variety is achieved throughout the 8,000 square foot facility by means of varying room heights and using deep and vibrant colors to stimulate the sensory experiences of the children. With a new garden and play deck on the roof, the Jennie Knauff Children’s Center also provides a pro-active learning experience outside of the classroom. |
