| Howard Haber Blue Feather School | Located on the top floor of a medical office building, this preschool emphasizes feelings of peace and domesticity in contrast to the bustling urban noise outside. Borrowed light anchors the internal corridors, and the homerooms have both dropped and sloped ceiling areas to create interesting and varied environments that provide a sense of shelter. Soothing objects, such as canopies, Zen boulders, and unusually shaped wooden benches punctuate the shared areas. The main colors are soft pastels while smaller details, such as the short axes of the ceiling grids, are picked out in deeper hues. |
